I traveled up to Baltimore to sit down and talk with Jennifer and Trey who make up the duo Smithfield. We had an amazing chat about how they met to their inspirations in music. I met a gentleman who told me a story about how he had just met Jennifer and Trey on a plane from Nashville. He had a conversation with them as they were getting on the plane and when he got to his seat he looked them up. Mid flight he went and showed them that he had download all their music. Here is the best part, they caught up with him as the plane landed and arrange for him to come to the show. How cool is that!
I was very excited to see Smithfield live, I can tell you they did not disappoint. They opened the show with “We Make Our Own” and as soon as they started singing the crowd was pulled in. Their harmonies are some of the best I have ever heard. It is a true art to be able to sing almost as one person and they are truly amazing at it. Jennifer then went into a cover of “Slow Hands” and then crowd was singing every word. They even did a medley of 90’s music from Shania Twain to The Goo Goo Dolls. The way that Trey and Jennifer worked the crowd looked like they have been on a stage their entire lives. As they came to the end of the set they played “Hey Whiskey”. It was at this moment that I swear every cell phone was in the air and had the flashlight on. It made for an amazing backdrop. I truly recommend going and seeing Smithfield if they come to a venue near you. I am sure they will be household name in the country music world in 2018. They have so much potential, Jennifer and Trey are two of the nicest people in the world.
Please enjoy the interview and below you will find all the links so you can download and follow Smithfield on their musical journey!

Kenny is so skilled and knowledgeable in the music industry that he not only knows how to work the equipment but how to turn your song into a hit record. It was such a privilege to sit and talk to him and hear his wealth of knowledge. Please enjoy the interview and if you are a singer or songwriter looking to record definitely reach out to Kenny!

I hopped in a Uber and headed from Nashville to Mt. Juliet, TN. I was so excited the entire ride to get to MacMillan Guitars and see their amazing shop. As I pulled up and walked in I felt like a kid at Christmas. Marty has his shop set up in sections where each step in the process is completed. Marty is an amazing person with such a passion for what he does. The end product is just amazing. I truly recommend if you are an artist, guitar lover or just a collector you have to see and hear the MacMillan Guitar. They are simply amazing and one of the best sounding guitars I have heard! Enjoy this interview as we take a look into Marty’s background and his career.
I was so impressed with the work that Marty does the moment I got back to my hotel room I messaged him that I needed to get a guitar. I am going to bring you step by step photos of the guitar on social media along the way. This is going to be a B Chord Original!
